Rosemary Oil or Rosmarinus officinalis is one of the oldest products from our line. Rosemary leaves that can remain evergreen in warmer climates. The essential oil is extracted from the leaves and flowering tops of the plant.
The botanical, which is part of the mint family, is native to Mediterranean regions and has blue or purple flowers. The familiar scent of Rosemary essential oil—as well as its robust, herbaceous aroma.
Rosemary Oil Uses
- To use as a supplement, add one drop to four ounces of water or place a drop in an empty supplement capsule and consume.
- Place a drop or two on your palms, rub together and apply to scalp and massage.
- Add a drop to your favorite shampoo and conditioner.
- Add one to two drops to meats and favorite entrees to flavor them.
- Blend with peppermint or wintergreen oil and a carrier oil or lotion for a soothing massage experience.
- Blend with tea tree oil for a stimulating scalp massage.
- Mix equal parts of rosemary oil with lavender oil for stress reduction.
- Combine with Epsom salts and frankincense for a rejuvenating bath experience.
Blends
Rosemary essential oil is often used extensively in aromatherapy due to its versatility as a pleasant aroma in so many popular combinations. Rosemary essential oil blends well with frankincense, lavender, clary sage, cedarwood, basil, thyme, citronella, lemongrass, elemi, geranium, chamomile, peppermint and cardamom.
How to Use
Topical: Dilute 1 drop with 4 drops of coconut oil or olive oil. Test on small area of skin on the underside of arm and apply to desired area as needed. Aromatic:Diffuse up to 10 minutes 3 times daily. Caution: Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes.
