Want to make your Valentine a homemade treat? Look no further than these essential oils to create a fairytale atmosphere for your loved ones!
To most people, a smell isn’t just a fragrance — it’s a memory. When you get a whiff of chocolate chip cookies, you may think of baking in your Mom’s kitchen. When a warm breeze blows the smell of fresh flowers, you’re instantly rocketed back to your first dance and the corsage your date brought. And these nostalgic ties aren’t just a coincidence — there’s science behind why we cherish these aromas. Our factory response is directly linked to the emotional center of our brain, causing a flood of warm and fuzzy feelings with a simple sniff. Unlike touch or taste, scents are directly correlated with past experiences. It’s no wonder the smell of rain or the scent of a swimming pool makes us so reminiscent.
But aside from their memory-inducing powers, certain scents can also do amazing things for our mind and body. From stress relief to headache relief, certain aromas have a way of making an impact
We are proud to produce many friendly essential oils that might be a very good choice for your Valentine. Lavender Oil, Peppermint Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Helichrysum Oil, Sage Oil, etc…
Benefits and usages of these essential oils during Valentine’s Day!
Lavender oil has this yummy, fresh floral scent with a dash of sweetness and herby aroma. I find it completely intoxicating. On top of it smelling amazing, it is also the most versatile of all essential oils. Therapeutically, lavender oil has a calming effect, which does wonders for those suffering from anxiety. Medicinally, it can be used as an antiseptic and pain reliever to soothe minor burns, insect bites and stings, and muscle or joint pain. This is also a great scent to use for savasana during yoga practice; one breath and you’ll feel blissful.
Peppermint oil has a very stimulating yet soothing aroma and is what I like to call “mother nature’s Icy Hot” due to its main constituent, menthol. This stuff is amazing. Not only is it effective in arousing your mental sharpness but it can be used to relieve congestion, headaches, migraines, digestive problems, and soothe achy muscles. I typically use it to get rid of headaches by rubbing a tiny bit on my temples or to relieve muscle soreness by diluting it with a carrier oil, like grape seed oil, and rubbing it into whatever is sore.
This oil has a very fresh and clean aroma that is sure to open your airways up. Eucalyptus oil is anti-everything, and for once that’s a good thing. It is a natural antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory. It is best used for respiratory problems like colds, coughs, asthma, and congestion in addition to wounds, muscle pain, mental exhaustion, dental care, and skin care. I love to drop a little of this in a hot bath when I am feeling congested; it’s a great natural way to clear my nasal passages up.
Helichrysum essential oil is known to have calming and soothing properties. The presence of chemical components called esters contribute to Helichrysum oil’s calming characteristics—making it the perfect oil for when you want to create a soothing sensation. When your body could use a little pacifying, massage Helichrysum essential oil on the back of the neck for a soothing sensation.
This oil is extracted from the clary sage herb, a close relative of the common garden herb sage. This essential oil is known to help people relax. Clary sage oil aromatherapy has also been shown to have antidepressant-like effects.
There’s more than one reason why pine trees bring us cheer around the holidays. A pine scent could be decreasing our anxiety, according to research. In one Japanese study, participants who went on a walk through pine forests reported significantly lower depression and stress levels. The research also discovered that anxious subjects had a greater feeling of relaxation after indulging in the scent.
